It was the year of Pizzighettone and San Marino, the year of the unusual derby Genoa-Spezia, the year of the play-off against Monza.
Well, as in the life you try to stay closer to a friend in trouble, so our Club was born in the worst time ever for Genoa CFC, to stay closer to who really lies at the heart.
We led our members to support the team, before through the foggy padanian plains and to Ravenna, till let them fly, at the sound of the European League hymn, to Odense and to Prague.
Prague, what an away match ! Which strange sensation to hear among the local markets in Venceslao Square (the famous clock square) that the most spoken language was...the Genoa's dialect. Almost 5000 supporters peacefully invading one of the most beautiful European capital city, for some days dressed up in Red&Blue, and so the streets of the Czech capital were transformed in the typical Genoa's "caruggi" and the most listened sentence was..."Belin che freidu !" (What a cold !)
Genoa CFC and Ansaldo. Two different realities but similar in the contribution given, each one in its own way, to make Genoa known all around the world. A peculiar and unavoidable union thanks to the very high presence of Genoa CFC fans in our company.
First to have birth inside the Genoa's company, our Club indeed pools a lot of workers having faith in Red&Blue colours, increasing year by year, from the about 80 people in 2006 up to touch over 200 members today. The Club also numbers members colleagues of other company sites, till "colonize" the China so far...
